The photo shows the campus of Johns Hopkins University & Medicine. This university is considered the best medical school in the nation focusing on medical research and medical biotechnology. Thankfully, I am currently in the graduate program at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University & Medicine studying biotechnology and working towards my goal of receiving an MD in internal medicine and a PhD in Biotechnology. Biotechnology is a fascinating and very demanding field. It is comprised of the sciences of quantum physics, quantum mechanics, quantum engineering, chemistry, biology, genetics and computer science.
My area of concentration is in human genetic bioengineering. My goal is to be able to use human genetic bioengineering to not just treat, but to permanently cure disease and greatly enhance the quality of life for people and life extension. For example, currently there are human genetic bioengineering treatments to cure some people who are blind. With the advent of CRISPR-Cas 9, which allows us to precisely edit the human genome, there are and will be many amazing and greatly beneficial genetic treatments available.
